Konference: Internet of Things
The Internet of Things (IoT) will introduce significant changes in our life and help realizing the vision of “ambient intelligence”. Within a few years we will be surrounded by a huge amount of sensors, devices and “things”, which will be able to communicate via IP, act “intelligently”, and provide support for users in managing their tasks. These new smart objects will also be context-aware and be able to perform certain functions autonomously, calling for new forms of communication between people and things and between things themselves.
Examples of this rapidly growing area are sensor networks, smart phones and peripherals, intelligent buildings and ambient-assisted living. Moreover, the IoT future will bring an important contribution to the economy and promote the development of areas as smart cities, green IoT, health care, intelligent transport, supply chain management, factory automation and many other sectors and industries.
This year’s CMI conference will address IoT technologies and architectures, applications of IoT, market and business models, user requirements and user perspectives, and regulation and policy issues. The conference will bring together representatives from industry and academia to discuss the status and trends, innovations and research challenges. Furthermore, the aim of the conference is to capture the state-of-the-art by identifying emerging research topics and defining the future of IoT.
Thus, the research frontiers in a variety of areas such as green IoT, mobile IoT, business and applications, RFID technology and web of things will be in the focus.
