Judex is a company that develops a wide range of software and hardware products for the healthcare sector.
We are located in the thriving university city of Aalborg, Denmark but our area of action spans the entire globe with business and research partners in many different countries.
Judex was started by a group of researchers in 1981. The university legacy is strong within the company and great emphasis is put on state of the art technology like advanced signal analysis, decision support system theory and data base design. We have now more than 25 years of experience in developing biomedical and medical informatics solutions for the world market.
Judex expertise has always been focused on understanding both the clinical as well as the technical aspects, and combining this know-how into new and innovative products for the benefit of the patient and the hospital staff.
Operationally Judex is divided into two divisions, the Biomedical Engineering division that has expert knowledge of clinical solutions, biological signals, software and hardware development and the Medical Informatics division that excels in telemedicine, decision support systems, healthcare records and clinical databases. Product development will typically span over the expertise of both divisions, e.g. a blood sugar measuring device that wirelessly reports measurement values directly into electronic healthcare records.
We can offer different forms of product development from outsourcing to joint ventures. Each product is handled as a unique development project with all of Judex’s expertise and special resources readily available. A project can embrace the whole process from idea to end product or can consist of only a part of that process e.g. development of hardware device drivers, user interface or Hospital Information System integration.
Our long standing focus on clinical product development has given us an extensive and unique experience in joint projects with both commercial, clinical and university partners.

We develop integrated e-service solutions, e-business solutions, and a number of specialised solutions. All solutions take their starting point in the knowledge, information, or data that are required to be processed or presented.
This requires on the one hand sound knowledge of database technology and other "heavy" disciplines within computer science, and on the other hand a great understanding of those people and organisations which the solutions are intended for. Our success is based on this particular duality - interaction of technology and people.
Our customers include among others Interflora, Sonofon, Stena Line, TV2 Danmark, Net Doktor, Danmarks Radio, Dansk Røde Kors, Elstock, Suzuki, MetroXpress. E-service, Online self-service, E-booking, security, encryption, etc. E-trade, E-shop solutions, online catalogue solutions, online payment and counselling.

Custom-designed web solutions consisting of data collected from already existing solutions are made ready to be presented/handled at web. Design of home-page solutions with a focus on uniting creativity, functionality, and user friendliness.
Xtel develops complex SW and HW solutions for embedded devices.

Xtel has developed an advanced embedded SW platform based on open source SW components. The objective is that development of new embedded devices should start where it becomes a unique product. Our costumers focus on developing the special application related to their core competences. The standard functionality, which they share with many other products are given within the basic SW platform. I.e. USB, Ethernet, Filesystem, User interface elements, debug tools, test environment etc. are all handled within our SW toolbox.

This saves significant development time and cost, and helps ensure a stable product even when a significant technology upgrade is required.

Typically Xtel uses the SW platform to develop a proof of concept prototype. Later our costumers take over the development of applications, while Xtel continue to support and develop the basic SW features within the platform.
