Aalborg Universitet is the leading ICT university in Denmark!

Our research and educational programmes cover a wide range of ICT fields within all our faculties, and this is exactly what sets us apart from other universities - Danish as well as international. Whether in terms of mobile technology, intelligent embedded systems, health ICT or ICT-supported experiences, we offer a wide range of competences. The broadness of our ICT research and teaching has given us a thriving dynamic cross-disciplinary environment in which collaboration across technologies, lines of businesses and fields leads to a unique cocktail of innovation and creativity.

In addition, we have a strong focus on interaction with the industries and organisations around us. Ever since the inauguration in 1974, the university has worked to make its research and competences useful to the surrounding society; we thus make an effort to facilitate industrial collaboration both among our researchers and our students.
 

Our activities are divided into three major sections:

AAU is the university in Denmark that invests most funds in ICT research. In addition, accept a large number pf ICT PhD students every year.	AAU is the university in Denmark that accepts the largest number of students on ICT educational programmes - in 2011, the number was 867.	AAU is the leading Danish university in terms of the transfer of knowledge from the university to industry. We offer a wide range of collaboration forms, from student projects and participation in professional networks to multi-year research projects.
