Access to new markets

BrainsBusiness works to help our members gain entry onto new markets all over the world:

  • Through our status as a gold-labeled cluster, we have access to a range of collaborators all over Europe.
  • By request from our members, we especially focus on close markets such as Sweden, Norway and Germany, where we collaborate closely with different clusters on organizing study trips and mutual marketing of each other's member companies.
  • We have close contacts within the Danish Innovation Centers in Silicon Valley, New York and South Korea.

Our services include:

  • Study trips to selected markets, including meeting schedules tailored to each participant
  • Tours to our member companies with guests from international markets
  • Visibility on new markets through the websites and social media pages of our collaborators
  • Network events with international partners at conferences such as Smart City World Expo Congress
  • Access to free use of office facilities and conference rooms in selected international markets.

"A number of CISS' research projects are anchored in a theoretical approach to optimization. Therefore, the logistics processes in and around the harbour of Hamburg were a natural place to look for challenges and contacts. We quickly found a good match in researchers from the University of Hamburg who could utilize tools that CISS has developed in their collaboration with the harbour.

We have not yet initiated an actual research collaboration, but the seeds have been sown in both camps. There is without a doubt a potential for a long-term collaboration within several research fields where our competences supplement each other."

Mads Kronborg Agesen, Technical Project Manager at CISS, Department of Computer Science, Aalborg University, on his participation in BrainsBusiness' study trip to Logistik Initiative Hamburg.
